They say that many centuries ago, when the Mongol-Tatar horde came to the Carpathians, people sought salvation high in the mountains. They left the valleys and hid in dense forests - where the trails were known only to locals, and the mountains became a natural fortress.
It was in this forest, where the Boyki Resort Park is located today, according to ancient legends, that the Boyki found shelter from enemies. Dense trees hid people from prying eyes, and familiar paths helped them remain invisible. The Boyki knew these mountains as they knew their home: where a secret path passes, where the forest opens a quiet clearing. The old people said that the mountain itself helps those who come to it in peace.
