Forest path with wattle in Boyki Resort Park«

Legend
«"Boyki Resort"»

They say that many centuries ago, when the Mongol-Tatar horde came to the Carpathians, people sought salvation high in the mountains. They left the valleys and hid in dense forests - where the trails were known only to locals, and the mountains became a natural fortress.

It was in this forest, where the Boyki Resort Park is located today, according to ancient legends, that the Boyki found shelter from enemies. Dense trees hid people from prying eyes, and familiar paths helped them remain invisible. The Boyki knew these mountains as they knew their home: where a secret path passes, where the forest opens a quiet clearing. The old people said that the mountain itself helps those who come to it in peace.

Once, a detachment of attackers followed the people into the mountains. But the higher they climbed, the thicker the forest became. Fog enveloped the slopes, the paths were lost among the trees, and the sounds of the settlement gradually died down. The people found shelter in the depths of the forest. They remained there until dawn. When the sun rose over the mountains, the enemies were no longer there.

Since then, the locals have been telling their children:

“The Carpathians protect those who respect their land. And the forest remembers those who once found shelter in it.”

They say that's why there is a special silence in this place even today.
